I’m not even being sarcastic, I love the styling on the new Nissan Murano. It’s very striking. Good job Nissan. I’ve seen a few around town this winter and would seriously consider as my personal vehicle especially in Nissan’s copper/orange color.
Someone had the balls to shop it into a crosscabrioletwhatever...
And then this guy wins the found on the internet WTF photo award for the day.

But oh that blind spot ...

Also quality on these is so bad. Even the mid to late-2000s when Nissan and Infiniti had some great cars, the Muranos had problems with transmissions and oil leaks like nothing else.

Probably has blind spot monitoring

My Mustang has it. It’s actually really nice.

A needed feature now.

That’s too bad, I thought they were very reliable vehicles. I had a co-worker with a 2005 that had >200,000 miles on it and he loved it.

A lot of it depends on maintenance just like everything else, but even our customers with Muranos who did normal maintenance had some big problems. The Infiniti M35 from that time period is perfect thpugh.

Anecdote: Aside from the magical oil disappearing act that VQ’s are known for, I haven’t had an issue at near 200k Apparently I’ve been lucky with the cvt.

Thats what it is! They burn the oil, now I remember.

That last photo is the weirdest one I’ve seen in a while! To make it even weirder, there’s also a guy with a horse’s head in it.
On a serious note, Edmunds has an identical orange Murano in their long-term test fleet, and they’ve been satisfied with it so far. Looks to be a good buy.
